The event has attracted a host of impressive speakers from Google, Facebook, BBC, YouTube and Microsoft, along with leading academics from universities including MIT, as well as Newcastle and Northumbria universities. More than 20 nations have been represented at the conference, which brings together an international community of innovators who want to understand the technologies and ideas that will be shaping our future.
The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, a world-class performance venue on the banks of the River Tyne, provides the iconic Quayside setting for Thinking Digital. The event takes place in Hall Two and the Northern Rock Foundation Hall as well as drawing a significant online audience – bringing the total audience each year to 1,000.
In addition to the main conference, Thinking Digital’s social programme makes ample use of Quayside restaurants including Six at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gusto, Piccolino and La Tasca to entertain delegates during the conference.
