VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2015

The Visit England Awards for Excellence recognise businesses that incorporate best practice and demonstrate excellence in customer service throughout their operation and celebrate the very best in quality and innovation.

The Awards Ceremony is the climax of the whole VisitEngland Awards for Excellence competition, which has regional heats across the UK. The glittering evening, built entirely around the finalists, celebrates success and excellence and is a showcase for England’s fabulous tourism products. Above all, it provides finalists with a moment of well deserved glory which can be used to market, promote and further improve their businesses.

The Glasshouse International Centre for Music provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony, which took place in a year that the destination will host the Rugby World Cup 2015. In acknowledgement of this, rugby stars from Aviva Premiership team, the Newcastle Falcons, made a guest appearance at the event.

NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau made sure that all delegates received a warm Geordie welcome, with students from Newcastle College creating a welcome committee to greet visitors at key points in the city. From arrival at Central Station to finding their way to hotels and venues, friendly faces donning event-branded rugby shirts were on hand to make the VisitEngland’s guests feel at home.
