The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has forced the meetings and events industry to adapt quickly and dramatically. The need for an alternative to face-to-face meetings and conferences has led to an explosion of virtual events.

The team here at NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau can’t wait for the return of live events, but we know that the “new normal” is going to see a huge rise in hybrid events – an event with both virtual and physical / live elements.

At NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau we are lucky to have a number of brilliant event support service partners, who are experts at working with clients on delivering hybrid events. We’ve gathered together a collection of resources from these partners to help you plan your next virtual or hybrid event.

We’re also proud to part of a new a new initiative created by the eight English Core Cities to support you in booking Covid-secure venues in multiple locations across the UK for your future events. Through Hybrid Event Solutions UK, speakers and contributors can be in different cities whilst still attending the same event and any delegates who can’t attend in person will still be able to experience the event in a virtual way.
