The brand new, state-of-the-art, €330 million venue is the ultimate place to make connections,
a place to inspire and be inspired.
Offering first class conference and meeting rooms, with cutting-edge technology, open spaces, ideal for breakout groups, all connected and linked together, helping delegates move freely across the different levels. The venue will focus on the overall sustainability journey for ESOT delegates and council members. Digital signage, recycling stations, sustainable food offerings and the powering of the venue will support the overall ESOT sustainability journey.
The venue will be managed by world-leading venue management company, ASM Global, a true leader in delivering world-class events in over 300 venues worldwide. ASM Global is the world’s largest and most trusted venue management and services company, with an experienced team of professionals within the UK who are available to help deliver a successful and memorable ESOT congress in 2025 or 2027.
As a company, the venue has managed some high profile international conferences, these include; Offshore Europe, 36,000 delegates across 4 days in Aberdeen, Scotland, and the British Orthopaedic Association Conference for 2,500 delegates. In addition, we have the expertise of venues in global locations around the world who have been hosting global conferences for more than 40 years, giving you confidence that ESOT will be delivered to the highest of standards.
The venue will offer over 5,500m² of exhibition space, a tiered auditorium accommodating up to 5,000 delegates and a further 21 meeting spaces for round-table discussions and additional sessions. All rooms at the venue will have the latest audio-visual and IT equipment helping to make the venue one of the most modern and IT advanced venues in the UK. The venue will be connected to the existing SAGE Gateshead venue, a fantastic space, offering additional conference rooms as well as flexible spaces overlooking the famous city skyline – helping delegates to really appreciate the amazing destination they are visiting. The operations of the ESOT congress will be delivered by the ASM Global Management team, who will support all aspects of your event while at the venue.
Within the event campus, there will be two new and exciting hotels as part of the development. The Novotel Hotel will offer 187 rooms, along with meeting rooms and conference facilities, a gym and a new restaurant with waterfront views. The adjoining ibis hotel will have 140 rooms available, with a vibrant public space and lounge. The dual-branded hotel will sit next to the campus, and have direct access to all areas of the Conference and Exhibition Centre, making it the ideal location for the ESOT HQ hotel.
