NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau support
NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau helped to relieve the pressure on the conference organisers by managing the accommodation allocation for the 900 delegates. The Convention Bureau’s local relationships enabled them to secure discounted rates from a variety of hotels across the city centre. In addition the team created a dedicated booking website for BAM’s delegates, obtained delegate discounts for local eateries and provided a welcome service at Newcastle Central Station.
Monika Narvydaite, Academy Manager at British Academy of Management, said “We were really impressed with the varied and vibrant offer of Newcastle and delighted to find all of the facilities and services we needed for our conference at Newcastle University, alongside the fantastic cultural and leisure attractions on offer to our delegates.
“This was the first time BAM Annual Conference was held in Newcastle. The help, advice and support supplied by Newcastle University and NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau including the accommodation provision and connectivity made bringing our conference to the city an easy decision to make.”
