Husqvarna France: Sales Force Meeting

The Husqvarna Group is a manufacturer of outdoor power products including chainsaws and trimmers, garden tractors, and mowers.

Background

In January 2017, a team of 40 from Husqvarna’s office in France headed to the North East to hold their Sales Force Meeting and visit their UK based offices and factory in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

Keen to make the most of their week in the UK, Husquarva contacted the NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau looking to stay in a pleasant and lively location, not too far from Newton Aycliffe.

The programme

Husqvarna France stayed at the County Hotel in Newcastle, opposite Central Station, where they utilised the venue’s meeting rooms for their Sales Force Meeting.

Alongside meetings, the team had an action-packed social programme including an adrenaline filled afternoon at the UK’s no.1 award winning karting venue, Karting North East, a Newcastle United  Football Club stadium tour, and dinners at two of the City’s best restaurants – Blackfriars and The Botanist.

Our support

The Newcastle Convention Bureau supported the event organisers in planning a fun and memorable business week in the North East – finding and booking accomodation, arranging all travel to the Durham office, and a full calender of social activities and top places to eat around the destination.
