Third party sustainability certifications are a helpful tool for event planners looking for sustainable venues and suppliers. Looking out for badges such as Green Tourism, Green Meetings, Green Key and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) provides reassurance that the suppliers you choose are committed to sustainability, and have access to support and guidance for continuous improvement in environmental and social responsibility.
North East England has a substantial and growing number of venues, hotels and suppliers with third party sustainability certification.
