A brief guide to AIM Secure accreditation

All of the venues taking part in Tyne To Get Back To Business have achieved AIM Secure accreditation. What does this mean for them and for the people who use their venues? Check out our FAQs to find out more.

What is AIM Secure?

Managed by the Meetings Industry Association (mia) – the UK’s leading trade association for business meetings and events – AIM Secure accreditation is the UK’s only recognised quality standard for the business meetings and events industry.

What does AIM Secure show?

It provides a clear indicator of an organisation’s service levels, their commitment to responsible business practices and adherence to health and safety as it includes vital infection prevention and control protocols.

How do venues get accredited?

AIM Secure venues are assessed by the Meetings Industry Association against a set of quality standards, legal requirements, policies and procedures.

What are the benefits of AIM Secure?

In an increasingly complex, dynamic and global marketplace, AIM Secure accreditation increases consumer confidence and builds trust in the quality of products or services and the expertise of the business.

AIM Secure:

  • Assures buyers of an organisation’s quality, safety and professionalism.
  • Demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to operational excellence and legal requirements.
  • Meets government department procurement criteria.
  • Identifies a venue as AIM Secure on many search platforms.
  • Identifies a venue as AIM Secure on many agency-operated search platforms.
