UK leaders descended on NewcastleGateshead for the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (Solace) annual summit which took place at Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
Solace is the representative body for Chief Executives and senior managers working in the public sector in the UK.
Titled ‘Connected Leadership in a Changing World’ the three day summit brought together, 400 delegates from the 12 to 14 October. The public, private, voluntary and academic world gathered to discuss and agree an achievable ‘vision for place’.
Local authority chief executives and industry leaders including, BBC, CBE, Macmillan Cancer Support and Lloyds Banking Group presented throughout the three days. Delegate where also taken on tours of key development areas in NewcastleGateshead.
Solace held their charity dinner at Sage Gateshead, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, which included pre dinner drinks with the Mayor of Newcastle.

NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau supported in sourcing the conference venue and accommodation as well as providing a red carpet welcome at Newcastle Centre Station and the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
